Irresistible Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Ingredients:

• 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks

• 1 cup all-purpose flour

• 2 eggs, beaten

• 1 cup breadcrumbs

• 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

• 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

• 1/2 teaspoon paprika

• Salt and pepper to taste

• Marinara sauce, for dipping

 

Directions:

 

1. Prepare the Cheese: Cut the mozzarella sticks in half to create 24 pieces.

2. Mix Breadcrumbs: In a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

3. Coat the Sticks:

• Dredge each mozzarella stick in flour, shaking off the excess.

• Dip the floured sticks into the beaten eggs, ensuring they’re fully coated.

• Roll the egg-coated sticks in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

4. Freeze: Place the coated sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for 30 minutes.

5. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line another baking sheet with parchment paper.

6. Bake: Arrange the frozen mozzarella sticks on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

7. Serve: Enjoy immediately with marinara sauce for dipping.
