Written by Admin

Making Chicago-style Deep Dish pizza has definitely become an art form over the past 50 years. This style of pizza is thicker and features a chewy crust because of the olive oil in the dough.

Ingredients:
2 tbsp olive oil
1 – 1lb of pizza dough, thawed
1 can of fire-roasted basil tomatoes
1 small jar of pizza sauce
2 – 16oz bag of Mozzarella cheese
1 C grated parmesan cheese
Pepperoni for topping
Fresh Basil and shredded parmesan cheese for topping
How To Make Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Using a 9in cast iron dish, brush the cast iron with olive oil
Unroll the pizza dough into the pan and up the sides of the pan
Using a small bowl, combine the pizza sauce and can of tomatoes
Spoon the tomatoes into the pizza dough
Sprinkle a layer of mozzarella cheese
Place a even layer of pepperoni on top of the cheese
Sprinkle with more cheese and fresh basil
Bake in the oven for 30 – 45 minutes or until the dough is a nice golden brown
Allow to cool before enjoying!
