World of Baking offers a delicious selection of quick breads that rank among the easiest and tastiest options for bakers and eaters. As a morning dessert and as a sweet treat, you can never go wrong with it.
Among the countless breads we’ve baked, the ones with cream cheese in the dough stand out, which gives a wonderfully moist and rich texture. However, we realized that we did not dare to make a cake with cheese and peaches and decided that it was time.
In acknowledgment of the fleeting season of fresh peaches, we opted for canned peaches in this recipe, ensuring this delicious bread can be enjoyed all year round.
Of course, if you have fresh peaches on hand, we highly recommend using them. Cut the peach into small pieces to ensure it bakes evenly and delivers a delicious peach flavor with every bite. This recipe makes for a generously sized loaf, and making sure it’s evenly cooked in the middle is crucial.
°8 ounces (1 package) soft cream cheese
°12 cups of butter
°1 cup of sugar
°Half a tablespoon of lemon peel
°2 cups all-purpose flour
°1 teaspoon of salt
°1 tablespoon baking powder
°1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
°1 cup of milk
°15 ounces canned peaches, drained and chopped
* Methods :
Preheat oven 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a standard loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mix cream cheese and butter until smooth. Continue adding the sugar, eggs, and lemon peel to the mixture, beating until it reaches a light, fluffy consistency.
In another small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
Gradually stir the dry ingredient mixture and milk into the cream cheese mixture. Once these ingredients are well combined, gently incorporate the peach cubes.
Transfer the resulting dough to the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the bread comes out clean.
Let the bread cool before slicing it. Enjoy our delicious peach and cream cheese toast!
