Ingredients
1 can 20 oz crushed pineapple undrained
1 cup sugar
1 cup self rising flour
1 stick 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
Optional 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius
2. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish
3. In a mixing bowl combine the crushed pineapple with juice sugar and self rising flour mix until well blended
4. Pour the pineapple mixture into the prepared baking dish
5. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the pineapple mixture if you like sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on top
6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly
7. Allow the pineapple bake to cool slightly before serving it can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature
Tips
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra treat
You can add a handful of shredded coconut to the batter for a tropical twist
