Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
2. Wash the potatoes thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt.
3. Pat the potatoes dry with a paper towel.
4. Poke several holes in each potato using a fork. This allows the steam to escape while baking.
5. Rub each potato with a small amount of olive oil. This helps crisp up the skin.
6. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the oiled potatoes, adjusting the amount according to your taste.
7. Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet lined with foil. Make sure there’s enough space between the potatoes for proper airflow.
