I think we can all agree that everyone is in survival mode and we are all eating ALL the comfort foods. Is it just me?

I  am fully in being comforted in every facet of my life. I want to wear comfy clothes (see ya, bras!). I want to watch my fave shows (trashy TV, yes please). And I want to eat my most comforting dishes and churros are usually at the top of that list

Ingredients

5 cups Honeycomb cereal

⅔ cup brown sugar

½ cup butter (1 stick)

⅓ cup corn syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla

¼ teaspoon baking soda

½ cup granulated sugar

1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon

How To Make Churro Snacks

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Pour cereal into a large bowl, then set aside.

In a medium-sized saucepan, add brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Stirring constantly, bring mixture to a boil then continue cooking for 1 more minute.

Remove pan from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda. Mixture will bubble and expand.

Pour the mixture over the cereal and toss to evenly combine.

In a small bowl, sift together granulated sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the cereal. Toss again until evenly coated.

Transfer cereal to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 8 minutes, stirring halfway through.

Allow cereal to cool then break into bite-sized pieces. Store in an airtight container.
