Ingredients
– 1 loaf of white bread – if you are using fresh bread, it is recommended to use a crusty loaf.
– 250 ml of milk
– 2 eggs
– 4 heaping tablespoons of sugar
– 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
– 1 tablespoon of oil (choose which type!)
Steps
1: Cut the bread into even slices – super if pre-cut! Next, dip the bread in the milk, making sure both sides are submerged (shallow bowls work best for dipping.) Next, drain the excess milk from the bread.
2: Beat the eggs in a separate bowl. Then dip the slices of bread into the eggs, again making sure they are well coated on all sides.
3: Mix cinnamon and sugar in a shallow bowl, keep the bowl near the stove – important later on! Heat the oil in a pan, while it is hot, put the egg rolls in the pan. Turn the bread over, making sure both sides are cooked (aim for golden brown.)
4: Put the baked bread in the sugar and cinnamon, remove directly from the pan so that the sugar sticks. Use a fresh spatula to flip the bread so that both sides are coated – it’s great for helping to turn a fish slice. Place on a plate lined with kitchen roll.
5: Maravillaza! Serve immediately – alone or whatever you like, with maple syrup, ice cream or fresh fruit, all delicious!
Ingredients:
– Bread for french toast
– Milk
– Eggs
– Honey
– Luca de Tena Orange Blossom Juice
– Soak the bread in milk before it becomes too soft.
Steps
1: Next, dip it in the egg.
2: In a pan, add plenty of oil and the zest of an orange.
3: While hot, remove the crust and toast the bread. When golden, remove the toasts and place on a plate with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
4: Meanwhile, dilute the honey with some water and a tablespoon of orange flower water so that it is not too thick. Drizzle over Spanish-style French toast.
