Weird and delicious Chex Mix



– 4 cups of cereal
– 3 tablespoons of butter
– 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla
– 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar
– 3 glasses of Lucky Charms™ Breakfast Cereal
– 1 bag (11 oz) of white vanilla wafers
– 1 tablespoon of rainbow nuggets
– 1 tablespoon of star-shaped candy decoration



1: Cover a large cookie sheet with baking paper. In a large microwave-safe bowl, add Rice Chex™ Cereals.
2: In a small, microwave-safe bowl, microwave the butter on high for 20 to 30 seconds or until melted. Mix it with powdered sugar. Microwave on for 30 to 40 seconds or until sugar dissolves. Add the vanilla. In a bowl, pour Chex™ cereal, stirring until evenly coated.
3: microwave on high for 1 minute; Stir to coat the grains. Microwave on high for another minute, stirring after 30 seconds. Add powdered sugar to a bowl. Toss until the grain is coated. Spread the mixture on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Cool for 5 minutes.
4: Add Lucky Charms to the Chex grain mix on a parchment-lined cookie sheet; Mix together to combine. Spread the mix.
5: In a medium microwave-safe bowl, mix white vanilla bread chips in medium (50%) microwave for 2 to 2 minutes 30 seconds, 1 minute until melted and smooth. Transfer to a gallon size resealable plastic bag; Cut off a small corner of the bag. Sprinkle evenly over the snack mix; Direct top with sprinkles and decorations.
6: Refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes or until spray hardens. carefully cut into small pieces; Transfer to a large serving bowl.


This recipe can be made ahead of time. Store in a closed container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
